You're reading: RFE/RL: Putin to meet Erdogan in first foreign trip since election win

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Ankara on April 3 as part of his first trip abroad since winning re-election last month.

The Kremlin said that Putin and Erdogan would follow a groundbreaking ceremony for Turkey’s first nuclear power plant via video conference. The facility is being built with Russian collaboration.
