RFE/RL: Advanced Russian nuclear sub takes up station in Pacific

The Vladimir Monomakh, Russia’s newest nuclear-armed submarine, has reached its permanent base at Viluchinsk on the Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula.

Russia’s Navy announced on Sept. 26 that the vessel had completed its voyage from the Northern Fleet.
