RFE/RL: Bolotnaya defendant Gaskarov released after completing sentence

A Russian citizen who was sentenced to prison for participating in a mass demonstration against rigged elections in May 2012 has been released upon completing his 3 1/2-year term.

Aleksei Gaskarov, a 31-year-old antifascist activist, was released on October 27 from a prison in Tula Oblast.
