Russia’s state-funded RT television network has registered in the United States as a foreign agent, the network’s editor in chief, Margarita Simonyan, said on social media.
Earlier, RT said the U.S. Justice Department had given it a November 13 deadline to register under the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
