MOSCOW – Rosneft sees prospects of exporting its own gas to Europe due to the European Commission’s (EC) antimonopoly claims against Gazprom, Rosneft Vice President Vlada Rusakova told Interfax.

She said that “the company’s strategic priorities in relation to developing its gas business include: Russian and foreign LNG projects, monetizing natural gas and associated petroleum gas to the country’s east, both by accessing promising infrastructure, as well as by producing highly value added products.”

In connection with this, Rusakova said that “additional supplies of Russian gas to Europe were also possible amid antimonopoly limits introduced against Gazprom as a condition for entering new markets and new consumers for which Gazprom is not a supplier.”
