NEW YORK – Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya and Swedish First Deputy Foreign Minister Annika Soder have discussed the situation in Syria and Ukraine and also the North Korean issue.

“The parties gave their main attention to the situation in Syria in light of the adoption of [UN] Security Council Resolution 2401, the situation in the east of Ukraine and also the North Korean dossier,” the Russian permanent mission to the UN said.

“The sides also underscored that dialogue and political and diplomatic methods are the one-and-only effective way of settling disagreements,” it said.
