The prospect of Ukraine joining NATO is aggravating the geopolitical situation, Europe and the United States must take a stand in favor of common sense, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said.
“I think that all commonsensical people should understand that this prospect will lead to tougher geopolitical challenges in and around Ukraine. There is something to think about not only in Kyiv, but in European capitals and in Washington as well. Those people who do not want the international situation to escalate further, I think they must speak out in defense of common sense,” Karasin told journalists on June 9.
