On Wednesday, July 13, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushylin, declared that the executive service had prepared a place for foreign war prisoners.

Russian media outlet RIA Novosti quoted him as saying: “In the executive service of the Ministry of Justice of the DPR, everything is ready in line with current legislation.”

Pushylin claimed that foreign war prisoners recently sentenced to death have not applied for a pardon

, and that the intermediate stage of the international tribunal for Ukrainian war prisoners may occur in the DPR before the end of July.

In an interview to Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, Pushylin emphasized that evidence of prisoners’ guilt should be clearly shown to the international community so that no one could doubt the enormity of their crimes.
