You're reading: Eintracht Frankfurt fans attacked in Kyiv by unidentified persons, five people injured

A stand-up fight among unidentified persons wearing the paraphernalia of the FC Dynamo Kyiv and fans of the FC Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany) occurred in downtown Kyiv on Khreschatyk Street in the evening of February 13, with five people being injured in the fight, the Informator ezine has said.

“There was a mass brawl on Khreschatyk. Some strangers attacked FC Eintracht fans from Frankfurt who were having a good time at the Porter Pub. About five people were injured as a result of the scuffle. The fight took place on February 13, at about 10.30 PM,” the ezine said on its website on Feb. 14 morning.

Most of the visitors left the pub and ran to the aid of their compatriots. As a result of the fight, at least five people were injured; two ambulances arrived at the scene. The victims refused hospitalization.

As part of the UEFA Europa League, FC Shakhtar Donetsk and German Eintracht Frankfurt will be playing in Kharkiv on February 14.
