Ukrainian tennis player Lesia Tsurenko lost in the quarterfinal at the United States Open Tennis Championships to Japan’s Naomi Osaka on Sep. 5.
Tsurenko, 29, lost to Osaka with a score of 6-1, 6-1. The match lasted 57 minutes.
Tsurenko is currently 36th in the Women’s Tennis Association ranking.
In the first set, Osaka played aggressively, leading 3-0. The Ukrainian tried to take the lead, but managed to win only one game. Osaka was too good on return points, so she won the first set with a score of 6-1.
The second set was even worse for Tsurenko – she lost four games in a row. As in the first set, she won just one serve. Osaka won the second set with the same score – 6-1.
