The number of gamers in Ukraine in 2019 will increase to 15.5 million people, who will spend a total of $203 million.

According to the forecast of Newzoo, a provider of market intelligence, the volume of video game market profit in Ukraine this year will grow by more than 13 percent.

Analysts predict that in 2019, the industry around the world will generate revenue of $152 billion, which is almost 10 percent more than last year.

For the first time in four years, the United States is expected to top the list of countries (since 2015, China is the largest market in the video game industry) in terms of profit generated. These two countries in total generate almost 50 percent of profit in the industry.

“Newzoo analysts’ forecast for Ukraine fully reflects the objective trends in our country, namely the growth in the number of Internet users, which is due to the spread of 4G coverage and improvements in the economy. For the second year in a row, the annual growth in our country slightly exceeds the global growth of the industry (13.4 percent). Also, as before, every second Ukrainian gamer is ready to pay for games,” says Dmytro Bazilevich, a representative of Wargaming in Ukraine.
