You're reading: 33 Ukrainian companies among Europe’s fastest-growing firms

Thirty-three Ukrainian companies have made it onto a prestigious list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in Europe, the Inc. 5000 Europe 2018. Five of them are tech companies.

This is slightly fewer than last year, when 38 Ukraine-based companies made the ranking; four of them from the country’s information technology sphere.

The updated list was published on March 2 on the website of the U.S. monthly publication Inc., which focuses on small businesses and startups. The magazine assesses the companies’ net revenues and their growth over the last three years to rank them.

Heading the list is British tech company SumUp Payments Limited. Its annual revenue is 56 million euros, and the company has seen an astonishing 14,000 percent annual growth.

Ukrainian construction enterprise Yudzhin was the fastest growing company in Ukraine. It placed 48th in the ranking, with annual growth of 3,400 percent.

Ukrainian IT company Intellias took 1,153rd place. It saw 660-percent annual growth, earning 15 million euros in 2017.

Among the others, tech company Clickky had 600 percent growth, MacPaw had 552 percent, and N-iX – 331 percent

The Inc. 5000 is an extension of the Inc. 500, an annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. introduced in 1982, which ranks the country’s top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in Europe. The extended European list was published for the first time last year.

In February, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) included 18 Ukraine-based tech companies into its list of the best tech firms in the world. The main criteria for ranking the companies were profitability, team growth, customer recommendations, and level of corporate social responsibility.
