TBILISI – Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia’s ex-president and former governor of Odesa region, is visiting the European Parliament in Brussels, where he is planning to enlist European lawmakers’ support prior to his announced appearance at the Polish-Ukrainian border on September 10.

“The Ukrainian oligarchic leadership has the plan to detain and destroy me, but I’m not afraid of them. They should be afraid of us, the peoples of Ukraine and Georgia. I’m prepared for any scenario,” Saakashvili said in an interview with the Rustavi 2 TV channel in Brussels on Sept.6.

He said he intends to meet with all the leaders of European political parties in the European Parliament.
