One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in action, four sustained combat-related injuries in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on Friday, July 5.

“Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has violated the ceasefire 14 times. Armed formations of the Russian Federation were shelling our units’ positions, using proscribed weapons, namely 120mm and 82mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, cannons of infantry fighting vehicles, large-caliber machine guns, sniper rifles, and small arms,” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said on Facebook in an evening update on Friday.

Six attacks were recorded in the Skhid (East) sector, and there were eight enemy attacks in the Pivnich (North) sector.

“As a result of enemy shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action, four more sustained combat-related injuries. Our forces fired back in response to shelling by armed formations of the Russian Federation. Information about enemy losses is being verified,” it said.

On the previous day, July 4, there were 30 violations of the ceasefire by Russia-led forces in Donbas.
