Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine led to the death of at least 2,500 civilians and  from 7,000 to 9,000 people were wounded. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine referring to UN data.

“According to the UN estimates, during almost three years of military operations in Donbas, at least 2,500 Ukrainian civilians were killed, from 7,000 to 9,000 – injured. The war continues to take away human lives: in the first half of this year, more than 400 civilians became victims of it, which is 60% more than during the same period in 2016,” the statement said.
