Antonov Airlines, a Ukraine-based corporation that is widely regarded as the world-leading operator of the An-225 Mriya supercarrier with a 250-ton capacity, is expected to provide Germany’s Siemens with services to transport power equipment that weighs a total of 2,000 tons that needs to be delivered to the company’s new thermal power plants currently under construction in Bolivia, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, the Ukrainian carrier is going to perform a total of 12 flights from Chile to Bolivia on behalf of the German client within the framework of this project. Interfax-Ukraine cites an unnamed source as saying that the first flight with over 150 tons of power equipment on board took place on 27 June 2018. The agreement is supposed to be completed within one month,” the source said.
