112.ua: Battle near Pivdenne – Ukrainian platoon commander and soldier killed

From the beginning of June 28 afternoon, in the Donbas area, Russia-backed separatists opened fire seven times, six of them from mortars and tanks. In the Pivdenne region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces participated in a battle, which resulted in the death of the Combatant of the Joint Forces and the platoon commander. According to information, near Pivdenne separatist troops opened fire around 08:30 a.m. on residential areas. They used mortars, heavy grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
