112.ua: Detained Ukrainian in Crimea dismissed from Armed Forces in May

A Russian FSB agent searches detained Gennady Lemeshko in Crimea on Aug. 12. The FSB said it suspects Lemeshko to be a Ukrainian SBU agent sent to commit sabotage on Ukraine's, Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula. The SBU denies the claim.

The citizen of Ukraine Gennady Lymeshko detained in occupied Crimea served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the contract and was dismissed in May 2017. The Department of Communication of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claimed this as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

‘This person did military service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces under contract from November 2016 until May 2017. He was dismissed under the article of incompetency’, the worker of the department Jozeph Venskovich reported.
