Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council, supported the urge y the European Film Academy to take actions for releasing Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian filmmaker sentenced in Russia and urged the EU and G7 countries to join him. He wrote that in his Twitter.

“Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian filmmaker sentenced to 20 years in prison in a political trial in Russia, 22 days into a hunger strike. I call on EU & G7 to support the appeal. Our solidarity can save his life, – Tusk wrote.
