Miners in Luhansk region strike because of non-payment of salaries since 2015. This was reported by the head of Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine (KVPU) Mykhaylo Volynets in Facebook.

“The miners do not leave the mine for the second day: yesterday the first shift of miners refused to leave the mine, and other shifts descend. The goal is to receive salary since 2015. The entire first shift are shaft sinkers under the ground, as of now there are only 70 miners,” he wrote.

The coal they mine is obviously going somewhere so where's the money from that? Obviously life in the rump republics isn't at all good; It is highly unlikely that Putin is going to chump up the money.
