Patrol police stormed the patient’s room in a mental institution on July 4 evening in Lviv, where a patient armed with a shard of glass took hostage dozens of other patients, as the local law enforcement informed on Facebook.
At around 7 pm, a 30-year-old man from Lviv blocked the doors to the department, where 76 patients were staying, vandalized the property, and broke the windows. The man was on compulsory treatment at the institution for murdering his father (he stabbed the victim 72 times).
