Multinational military exercises of NATO and the allies of the Alliance named Agile Spirit 2017, started in Georgia on Sunday, September 3, the press service of the Georgian defense department reports.
The exercises will be attended by the US Marine Corps, as well as the military from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania and Armenia. The Ministry of Defense of Georgia specifies the purpose of conducting the exercises as “preparing readiness for participation in joint operations within the NATO rapid reaction force”.
