During the speech at the 73rd UN General Assembly on the maintenance of peace, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko claimed the necessity to reform the UN to increase the effectiveness of the peacekeeping activities, as the President’s Administration reports.
“The new quality of the peacekeeping has to comply with the world’s expectations and hopes. The initiative of the UN Secretary-General on the enhancement of the interaction between all the participants involved in the peacekeeping activity is exactly what our Organization needs to provide more of the effectiveness and reliability of this important tool,” Poroshenko stated.
