The Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, passed the document, in which it turned to the international partners due to the illegal verdict in the case of the political prisoner, Ukrainian reporter Roman Sushchenko.
The Ukrainian authority blamed and protested against the verdict of the Moscow city court, saying it is ‘based on the explicitly trumped-up charges and the falsified evidence, and it is another confirmation of the absence of justice in the Russian Federation, and the continuation of politically motivated persecutions of Ukrainian citizens’.
