You're reading: 112.ua: Ukraine asks ECHR to impose personal sanctions against Russian officials

Ukraine asks the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to impose the additional sanctions against the officials involved in the violation of the rights of the Ukrainian political prisoners in its sixth lawsuit. Also, it is planned to offer the forming of the sanctions list such as “Magnitsky List”. Ukraine’s Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko claimed this as 112.ua reported.

“The lawsuit describes the mass violations of the human rights that are allowed against the Ukrainian political prisoners at the territory of Russia with the particular surnames of the Russian officials involved in the, including the office-holders. It gives us an argument before our international partners on the imposing of the additional personal sanctions against almost all governance of the Russian Federation and those, who involved to these politically motivated persecutions of the officials working in Russia,” he said.
