The Ukrainian side demands that the Russian government lets Ukrainian consuls see detained Pavlo Hryb, the son of Ukrainian military officer. The Russian administration should also report on the reasons why they detained the young man and provide him with lawyer’s protection. Vasyl Kyrylych, the deputy head of consulate provision of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reported that on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘We expect the decision to be made as soon as possible. Pavlo’s father, Ihor Hryb turned to us, asking for assistance. There are certain concerns that if it comes to mishandling or tortures, it could lead to fatal consequences. We informed Russian ombudsman about possible issues in this regard; we expect him to pay maximum attention to Gryb’s detention conditions. If he’s held in detention, medical attention and other related questions must be solved properly,’ Kyrylych said.
