The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses the strong protest against the decision of the Supreme Court of Russia of July 27 to increase the term of the imprisonment of Ruslan Zeitullayev to 15 years. He was illegally convicted under the cooked-up charges in the creation of the terrorist organization and holding of the terrorist activity in the territory of the temporary occupied Crimea. The press service of Foreign Ministry reported this.
‘The show trial of Ruslan Zeitullayev organized by the Russia side is the bright example of the usage of the repressions against the Crimean nation and violations of the fundamental human rights and liberties by the occupation authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands from Russian side to immediately stop the persecution of the peaceful citizens of Ukraine and execute the order of the UN International Court of Justice concerning the stop of the illegal actions towards the representatives of Crimean nation’, the message stated.
