During his working visit to Canada, President of Ukraine held a meeting with Premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne. During the meeting, Poroshenko announced the province’s intention to put up a memorial to Holodomor victims next year, according to the website of Ukraine’s President.

“The Head of State noted an important role of Ukrainians in facilitating the development of Canada. In her turn, Premier Kathleen Wynne noted that the Ukrainian community plays an important role for Ontario as well, because they make up 8% of the province’s population,” the statement says.
