Vulkan (The Volcano, – 112 International), the full-length movie by Ukrainian director Roman Bondarchuk brought him victory at the 15th Golden Apricot festival in Armenia. The movie won in the ‘Live-Action Film’ nomination.

The plot is based on the story of Lucas, the middle-aged man who works as the OSCE observing mission’s interpreter in Ukraine. While on duty, he finds himself in the steppes of southern Ukraine. He finds the local way of life – and the local residents – quite unusual, but as the time flows, it’s actually these people who help him regain the lost happiness.
