You're reading: 112.ua: UN – By 2050, Ukraine’s population to shrink to 36 million people

The population of Ukraine will be decreasing in the future; by 2050, it will make some 36 million people, while the number of those living in the cities will grow. The respective forecast was published by the UN Department for Economic and Social Issues.

According to the forecast, 78 percent of the entire population will live in the urban environment; currently, this number makes 69 percent. There will be only three ‘million cities’ by then.
