CHISINAU – A total 171 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Moldova on May 29, six people have died, the press service for the Health, Labor, and Social Protection Ministry said on May 29.

“A total of 1,203 tests, including 1,028 initial ones, were conducted on Friday. A total of 171 tests were positive. The COVID-19 diagnosis was confirmed in 7,896 people overall. Over the past day, 155 people were discharged from hospitals. The number of recoveries is 4,278,” the press service said.

Six deceased coronavirus patients had chronic diseases, the ministry said. A total of 288 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

According to the coronavirus response headquarters, 970 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Transdniestria, 533 people recovered and 38 died.
