In the Kirovohrad region, 82 cases of coronavirus were confirmed by laboratory methods, of which four were already fatal, head of the Regional State Administration Andriy Balon said.

“A 72-year-old man, who had been in a central hospital in Kropyvnytsky with heart disease for a long time and was infected with a coronavirus, has died. A 54-year-old woman also died from multiple organ failure in a private clinic. Post-mortem PCR testing confirmed she was infected with COVID-19,” Balon wrote on his Facebook page.

The head of the Regional State Administration noted that there are two pregnant women among the infected in Kirovohrad region: one woman from the Kropyvnytsky and one woman from the Dolynsky district. They both have a mild illness and are at home under self-isolation.

In addition, there are 28 doctors and one employee of the pharmacy among the patients with COVID-19: six health workers from the Kirovohrad Regional Hospital; 20 health workers from the Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans; one health care worker from a private clinic; one health care worker of the oncology dispensary.

In total, 78 people are being treated from COVID-19 in the region, 50 people are being hospitalized. Among them: 39 residents – in average severity, seven in serious condition, and four – in a state closer to satisfactory.
