Since the beginning of the conflict in eastern Ukraine 2,197 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, performing tasks there, Chief of General Staff – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko said.
“Combat losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for this period amount to 2,197 people dead and about 8,000 wounded,” Muzhenko said during a meeting with foreign military attaches in Kyiv on Feb. 17.
