You're reading: 3 lawsuits challenging Zelenskiy’s Rada dissolution lodged in Supreme Court

Another application to declare Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s actions in signing the decree on the early termination of the powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the appointment of an early election illegal has been submitted to the Ukrainian Supreme Court.

“The application was submitted by an individual directly to the office of the Supreme Court’s Administrative Court of Cassation today, on May 24, 2019. The case was registered as 9901/280/19,” the press service for the court said on the Supreme Court’s Facebook page on May 24.

A judge will rule on the subsequent procedural actions in five days after the lawsuit was lodged.

“Therefore, three lawsuits to challenge the Ukrainian president’s decree No. 303/2019 of May 21, 2019, have already been lodged at the Supreme Court,” the press service said.
