You're reading: Activists detained earlier already back at tent city near Rada

All eleven protesters who were detained by the police near the Verkhovna Rada building on Oct.18 afternoon have already returned to the tent city.

Activists went past the police cordon on Hrushevsky Street in downtown Kyiv unhindered and joined the rest of the protesters around 19:50, Mikheil Saakashvili’s Movement of New Forces told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Saakashvili is currently in the headquarters on Muzeiny Lane. He didn’t attend parliamentarians’ meeting with President Poroshenko,” a representative of the party said when asked about Saakashvili’s current whereabouts.

“Perhaps he will come to the tent city on Hrushevsky later,” the representative said.
