The authorities of Ukraine and Albania have exchanged proposals for an agreement on a free trade area, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Ditmir Bushati has said.
“We’ve exchanged the first drafts of our agreement [on FTA] based on the clear interest of our business in such an exchange, in particular, in the sale of agricultural products,” he said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Kyiv on Feb.22.
In turn, Klimkin added that his Albanian counterpart will discuss the proposals on the FTA with First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv.
“We believe that we have very good prospects for the future in this area,” the minister said.
