More than 5,600 Russian citizens have not been allowed to enter Ukraine since the beginning of 2019, Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, has stated.

“Since the beginning of the year, 5,662 Russian citizens have not been allowed to enter Ukraine,” Demchenko told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the main reasons for refusal were the inability to confirm the purpose of the trip, exceeding the period of stay in Ukraine during the last visit, as well as visiting the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

At the same time, he specified that 15,600 citizens of foreign countries were refused entry.
