The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland will voice their joint positions on topical issues during the meeting, and Jacek Czaputowicz has an understanding that the countries are strategic partners, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Pieklo has said.

“I think there will be a meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland, after which we will hear their common position at the press conference. I think our countries have no other choice but to cooperate. We are strategic partners, which was understood by the previous foreign minister, as well as the new one, as well as by Ukrainians,” he said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Monday.

At the same time, the diplomat stressed: “We need to discuss the details, hold a broad dialogue with the ministers and the society. We have a common destiny.”

Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin announced that he had reached an agreement with Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Bartosz Cichocki about a meeting in late February.
