There is no outbreak of pneumonia in Donetsk region, the deputy head of the unit for organization and development of medical aid to the population of the Healthcare Department of Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Pedenko has said.

“There is no outbreak of the disease [pneumonia], the statistics is average,” he said during a press briefing on March 31.

According to Pedenko, in 2019 some 9,600 people were diagnosed with pneumonia in the region, while as of March 17 the index was 3,249 people.

Some 122 people died of pneumonia in 2019, while as of March 17 thirty-three people died of pneumonia in the region, he said.
