You're reading: Avakov to present his book about Lenin in Washington

KHARKIV – Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov presented his book “Is Lenin with Us?” in Kharkiv on Nov. 19 and intends soon to present it in Washington.

“I will present the book in Washington in a few weeks,” Avakov said during an autograph session, while signing a copy of the book in English to former New York mayor and Donald Trump’s cyber security adviser Rudolph Giuliani.

Giuliani asked how the minister had an idea to write such a book.

“We are at a transition stage from totalitarianism to another country. Earlier, Lenin was 200 meters from here [a monument to Lenin on Svobody Square], but now he is not here. But the question remains in our heads,” Avakov said.

A total of 14,000 copies of the book were published in three languages.

The first presentation of Avakov’s book “Is Lenin with Us?” was held in Kyiv on Nov. 7.
