The Ukrainian Batkivshchyna Party stands ready to work in coalition with the Servant of the People Party supported by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and other pro-European groups in the new parliament, Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko said.

“Our team is determined to build a coalition with the new president and other democratic pro-European forces in the new parliament. What’s more we are willing to offer a very strong plan in this coalition and, what counts most: do all we can for this plan to become a reality,” Tymoshenko said at a Batkivshchyna Party congress in Kyiv on June 10.

She proposed that the future coalition be called “an action coalition.”

“The true democratic parties able to be elected to the parliament, such as Batkivshchyna, the Servant of the People Party, and the Holos (Voice) Party, should unite during the election campaign and do what they can so that mastodons cannot win in majoritarian electoral districts,” she said.
