MINSK – Russia and Germany have different views so far on a possible peacekeeping mission in the conflict area in Donbas, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said.

“[The sides’] ideas [concerning peacekeepers’ deployment in Donbas] differ heavily,” Gabriel told reporters in Minsk on Nov. 17.

The sides need to work to meet each other halfway and determine common conditions for peacekeepers’ deployment in this conflict area, he said.
