U.S. Vice-President Joseph Biden has arrived in Kyiv. His plane landed at Boryspil Airport on Jan. 16 morning.

Biden is due to have bilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

According to earlier reports, the Biden visit aims at underlining the U.S. support to Ukraine and marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

After that, Biden will go to Switzerland for a meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
