A personnel change at Ukraine’s central bank looks set to tilt the balance of power in favor of Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko, who was handpicked this month by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Shevchenko, whose widely respected predecessor left abruptly complaining of “systematic political pressure,” on Friday saw Deputy Governor Serhiy Kholod quit from the six-member board, which has the final say on interest rates.
