Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the country’s largest airport, plans to implement about seven infrastructure projects in 2017-2022, first deputy head of the airport Yevhen Dykhne has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, it is planned to expand the baggage claim zone in Terminal D. The general contractor for the project is Ukrainian Production and Construction Alliance Center LLC, an agreement with which for the amount of UAH 28.1 million was signed on June 1. The deadline for completion of work is eight months.

It is also planned in the framework of reconstruction to expand this terminal, since the reconstruction of the central part of its structure is necessary to meet the increasing passenger traffic. The expansion of the terminal complex will give an additional capacity of approximately 2,000 passengers for arrival and 2,000 for departure per hour.

The general contractor for this project will be determined at a tender after the document is approved. Its approximate cost is UAH 2 billion.

According to the materials distributed during the press tour, another project will be the creation of additional Bus Gate type exits.
