State-owned enterprise (SOE) Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the largest airport in the country, increased passenger flow by 17.6 percent in January-September, to 9.49 million people.

“Today the Boryspil airport met the 10 millionth passenger,” the press service of the airport told Interfax-Ukraine on Oct. 16.

In September, the airport serviced 1.29 million passengers, which is 20 percent more than in September 2017, the airport said.

As reported, Boryspil International Airport plans to service 12.55 million passengers in 2018, which is 19 percent more than in 2017, when 10.555 million people were serviced.

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of Ukraine, occupying a total area of about 1,000 ha. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the second with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals, postal and cargo handling complexes are located on the territory of the airport.
