Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov during a meeting with Permanent Secretary of the British Defense Ministry Stephen Lovegrove have discussed the situation that has developed as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine and the Middle East.
“Russia’s actions show that it wants to change the world architecture that emerged after World War II,” the press service of the National Security and Defense Council quoted Turchynov as saying on Thursday.
He added that Russia is conducting a hybrid war against Ukraine, “not only on the battlefield, but also in the energy, information, economic and other sectors.”
The secretary of the UK Defense Ministry added that his country is concerned about the increase in Russia’s militarization and how the hybrid war initiated by Russia unfolds.
In this context, the two officials noted the need not only to continue sanctions against Russia, but also to strengthen them.
