You're reading: Budget of Twinning project to harmonize of Ukrainian laws to EU laws to be €2 mln

The Twinning technical assistance project on the approximation of Ukrainian legislation with the European Union (EU) in the field of plant protection products with the budget of €2 million will be launched late April.

According to a posting on the website of Ukraine’s Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, the Twinning project would help to conduct reforms in Ukraine in the field of plant protection products, plant health, control over the use of pesticides to improve human health and protect environment using European and international experience, and strengthening associated inspection and laboratory services.

The entire implementation period is 21 consecutive months.

Beneficiary is the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumers Protection.

A consortium of EU members headed by Latvia, Germany and Lithuania is responsible for the implementation of the project.
