You're reading: Businessmen detained in Lviv when offering bribe to military prosecutor

LVIV – A director and an employee of one of the companies were detained by police and military prosecutor’s office employees on Friday after offering a bribe, the press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Western region has reported.

According to the press service, the said persons offered and tried to give a prosecutor of the military prosecutor’s office of the Lviv garrison a bribe in the amount of $5,000 for the closure of the criminal proceedings on the fact of appropriation of more than $5 million for the purchase of dwelling for servicemen-participants of Ukraine’s military operations.

According to this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
