Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) General Oleksandr Kuts will be the new head of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration, the former head of the administration, Pavlo Zhebrivsky, has said.

“The Cabinet of Ministers approved [on Wednesday] SBU General Oleksandr Kuts for the post. I think that in the near future the president will consider and issue a decree, and then he will introduce [the new head of the civil-military administration] in Donetsk region,” Zhebrivsky said on Channel 5.

In August 2017, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree appointing Oleksandr Kuts head of the SBU’s main directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Earlier, Kuts held the post of chief of the SBU’s main directorate in Donetsk region.
